Our School
Huttoft Primary and Nursery School is a nurturing learning community where children are treated as individuals. We prepare our pupils academically and emotionally for the wider world. We pride ourselves on the educational opportunities that we provide for our pupils, preparing them with the skills, knowledge and understanding that will help them to become successful in whatever pathway they take. We are immensely proud of our school achievements and celebrate children's wide and diverse skills.
At our last Ofsted (February 2020), inspectors reported that the school has a nurturing and friendly atmosphere where pupils enjoy learning; the inspectors highlighted, ‘Pupils and their parents and carers like their school very much… Pupils behave well. Relationships are good. Pupils enjoy school. They act safely and think about the safety of others. Pupils told inspectors that staff are friendly and listen to any concerns’.
We have beautiful grounds and outdoor learning resources including a World War II outdoor space complete with an Anderson Shelter! We believe that children should enjoy learning both inside and outside of the classroom.
Our children have always achieved well in preparation for the next step on their educational journey. Of those Year 6 children that sat the 11+ Grammar school entrance exam, 77% met the required standard, this is something we are very proud of!
