Welcome toHuttoft Primary & Nursery School
Huttoft Primary and Nursery School is a nurturing learning community where children are treated as individuals. We prepare our pupils academically and emotionally for the wider world. We pride ourselves on the educational opportunities that we provide for our pupils, preparing them with the skills, knowledge and understanding that will help them to become successful in whatever pathway they take. We are immensely proud of our school achievements and celebrate children's wide and diverse skills.
We are delighted that our most recent Ofsted (September & December 2024), highlighted that our school’s ‘strong ‘family’ ethos means that pupils settle quickly' and 'everyone is treated with kindness and respect'.
It is a privilege to be the Headteacher at a school where, 'staff have high expectations for pupils’ behaviour and conduct' and where 'pupils behave well'. Inspectors also noted that our ‘school values are lived out daily by pupils in the way that they care for their school and the local community' and our ‘school, alongside the trust, has designed a curriculum that is broad and balanced'.
We have beautiful grounds and outdoor learning resources including a World War II outdoor space complete with an Anderson Shelter! We believe that children should enjoy learning both inside and outside of the classroom.
Our children have always achieved well in preparation for the next step on their educational journey. Our current Year 6 children have performed incredibly well in the 11+ testing, with over half of them heading to Grammar school in September, this is something we are very proud of!
The information on our website will hopefully give you an understanding of our positive, family atmosphere and ambition centred curriculum. If you would like to arrange a visit to come in and see us and meet our wonderful school family please contact the school office.
