Year 1

The Year 1 Team 

Welcome to the Year 1 page! Our class teacher is Mrs Peet, Miss Croney and Mrs Malbon, who is our HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant). They are always there to ensure we are safe and happy at school.   

In Year 1, learning and play go hand-in-hand as the continuous provision from Reception weaves into our Key Stage 1 Curriculum ensuring a smooth transition. Our curriculum is practical and interactive with lots of opportunities for independent learning and discovery.

We select themes to bring the curriculum together, in Year 1 these include: 

Autumn Term: Childhood 

Spring Term: Bright Lights, Big City 

Summer Term: School Days
